In time for the wedding, I now do things that I never thought possible
(Gianna: New York)

"I hired Adrian in January for my upcoming wedding in May, and wanted to look great.  I was very pessimistic.  I didn't believe in myself, nor what I was capable of accomplishing.  Although I did want to come to see Adrian and participate, I would sabotage myself.  For instance, one time on my way to see Adrian I stopped and had a hamburger at McDonalds.  Now, after only 4 months, I have so much more energy.  I feel good, look good, and I have a much more positive outlook on life and myself.  I do things that I never thought were possible.  I use to stop myself due to fear, but I learned with the help of Adrian's psychology handouts, that fear is only false accusations appearing real.  It was fear that was stopping me - like when I was running only a few minutes and had difficulty with the breathing.  Now I run over 50 minutes and enjoy it.  The running has helped me increase my confidence, increase my strength, decrease my fat, and made me look great for the wedding.  The strength training has made me feel much stronger.  My family can see the difference.  My husband sees the changes, especially being much more calmer and having a more positive outlook on life.  I'm in a better place now in my life."

Change although difficult has produced significant results
(Desiree: New York)

"I've always been an ardent proponent of change. I've prided myself on my adaptability. Over the last 5+ years, though, I've changed in a way I've not realized. I think I became stagnant or sedentary. Two years ago I decided I did not like how my body was changing. I looked online and found Adrian’s website to be thorough and called him. For 1 1/2 years I'd done nothing to help his work. The layer of fat over the muscles had not gone. He was changing my body, my musculature beneath. But I'd also done nothing to lose the fat. Then I started to be regular with our appointments, eating better, drinking less and the results were significant. Now after 2 years +, my body is strong and looks stronger. I've learned my role. I cannot just ‘pay and show up’. I must contribute. His psychological and nutritional handouts and computer program really began to hit home when I was mentally ready to accept it. Change. I realized I was not the adaptable person I was, but I am now getting back there." (Desiree)

Success (225 to 178 pounds) via humour, honesty, and openness
(Michael: New York)

"Adrian is simply a different kind of personal trainer. He has a different approach to getting into shape and we do not just exercise. We also work on psychological techniques and how the physical and mental connect together. He doesn’t just talk to you about nutritional and psychological information, he provides research studies and always includes sources so you can go and look them up for yourself. It isn’t about becoming dependent on Adrian, nor does he want you dependent on him; it’s about becoming independent. Adrian gives you the tools and knowledge to continue living a healthy lifestyle away from him. And with this knowledge I was able to go from 225 pounds down to 178 pounds. Personally Adrian is very comfortable to be around. He never speaks in a condescending tone, is very easy to talk to, and has a great sense of humor. I enjoy the time I spend with Adrian simply because I find him to be in an incredibly honest and open person and exercising with him doesn’t feel like I am with a personal trainer at all, but simply a friend I work out with twice a week, and that feeling makes all the difference. I believe it was that difference that allowed me to succeed." (Michael)

Clothes fit better - Without feeling like I'm working out
(Jill: New York)

"I live on the Upper West Side and when my trainer left town I was forced to search for a new trainer to come to my building. Once I started researching new trainers I got sticker shock, my old trainer seemed to be a bargain. I went on Craig’s List and found Adrian. His website was different than the others and it appealed to me so I called him to set up a meeting. I have been working out with trainers for years so I did not expect dramatic results with Adrian. Imagine my surprise when I IMMEDIATELY began to change shape, my clothes fit better, and I began receiving compliments from people I see every day! Adrian has a very different approach, he gives me a full mind and body workout. He has not only changed the way I work out but has increased my self-esteem. I look forward to every session with him because it is fun. We focus on activities that I enjoy and it does not even feel like I am working out. My past trainers pushed me and at the end of the sessions, I was sore, exhausted, and dripping with sweat; I thought this was a normal workout. Adrian has never pushed me to limits I was uncomfortable with, and at the end of our sessions, I am relaxed and feel fantastic! He has truly changed my entire perspective on exercise especially since I have achieved the most amazing transforming results with him and all at a very reasonable price!" (Jill)

From: Chronic weak left hip - To: Best shape of my life
(Jonathan: New York)

"I knew if I didn't get a trainer, I just wouldn't exercise enough to lose weight (and my situation was complicated by a chronic weak left hip due to childhood injury). Finding Adrian was a stroke of luck. Adrian was careful, methodical, and encouraging. I was cranky, profane and dutiful. By taking one step after another, consistently seeing Adrian just twice a week, not only did I lose weight, I got fit! Now the trick is doing it on my own - - but now I know how to exercise each muscle group, how all of a gym's machines work, and have the backup goal-setting and nutrition information that works almost on a subconscious level. If you want to be serious about getting fit, I can't recommend Adrian highly enough - - but you have to be the one to start (and stick with it!)." (Jonathan)

From: Even shopping was fatiguing - To: Excited about my new body and mind
(Anjali: New York)

"Adrian, as a personal trainer, has set very high standards for any trainer I may seek in the future. He has a lot of personal experience in not only physical fitness, but also nutrition and psychology. Some of his most important experience is simply by age alone. He would never drive you to the edge of exhaustion, or worse, injury. He listens, he understands, and he personalizes your training. His sessions are non-traditional and varied and suit your mood of the day. I have had sessions at home, in a gym, and outside. His fees are modest, yet his dedication and passion is strong. Over the year that I have trained with him, I have lost 14 lbs - almost half way to my goal. This may not seem like much at first glance, but the sum total of all that I have accomplished is greater than almost anything else I have done. I can now run for 40 minutes comfortably. In fact, I look forward to running. On my first day with Adrian I had told him that I did not like running - even a shopping trip to a department store was fatiguing. I did not lose much weight for the first 6 months, because I was so out of shape that I could not do much exercise in the way of burning calories. I kept at it because Adrian was very motivating and so much fun. The next 6 months was when the weight started to drop. Another 6 months later, I am so excited to run that I have to be careful not to overdo it. As I watch my body and mind change, I can't help but comment on the best change of all - I no longer think of my self as an overweight person who needs to lose weight, but rather, a thin person who is not at the goal yet!." (Anjali)

Real tangible results – Sculpted and super-fit
(Tony: New York)

"After having trained with Adrian for over 18 months, I can truly say I have made significant gains in term of health and fitness. Comments from people whom I have not seen in some time invariably are of the nature that I look great, 'sculpted', and 'super-fit'. Looking at myself during this period leads me to the judgement that I have not been at this level of fitness in some time, perhaps since college (I am now 47). I have always been an active person. Training with Adrian, however, has enabled me to overcome or work around some of the significant injuries that had previously posed limitations on physical gains and the subsequent pursuit of athletic goals. Overcoming these limitations has led to some real tangible results: I am currently able to run 13 miles with significant energy to spare, injury-free. In terms of goals, Due to Adrian's assistance I registered for competition in a half-marathon and successfully completed it. I was able to complete this challenge, as a result of training with Adrian. In addition, with Adrian's assistance, I planned and completed a climb of Mount Whitney in California, the highest mountain peak in the 48 contiguous United States. I had always pursued the hobby of trekking, this being the most aggressive goal yet. My current physical state has been very beneficial in my passion for hiking and climbing. This is evident in my stamina, and the ability to complete some challenging hikes without pain or stress. The informational/educational portion of Adrian's session have provided significant benefit as well. The review of documents pertaining to nutrition, psychology, and happiness, (while cycling), have enabled me to make informed decisions about nutrition and life in general. I would add that this is something relatively unique to an engagement with a trainer, and very much to the credit of the entire time spent together. In short, I have found my time with Adrian to be a very positive experience, with significant, concrete achievements. These achievements have both been physical, as well as related to outlook and overall well-being." (Tony)

"It's All Good"
(Lisa: Townsville, Australia)

In less than 4 months Lisa lost more than 20 kilograms (45 pounds), ran non-stop for 10.5 kilometres (6.5 miles), completed 40 full push-ups with her feet elevated on a wall, and ran up Townsville's notorious Castle Hill. What was more remarkable was the change in Lisa's outlook, as she became so positive and excited with life. Regardless of whatever I suggested she do for training, she would attempt and achieve it, and she was constantly saying "it's all good."
